Even though bassinets are fluffy and very fairy tale like, it is really very functional.
I have used a bassinet with all of my children and it is very convenient.
Bassinets are usually made of wicker and on wheels. I love the wheels part of it because that way you can stroll them around wherever you are doing housework or cooking in the kitchen! :)
The hood also keeps out drafts and light and protects your baby while they sleep.
- Make sure the legs of your bassinet lock into place and that it is sturdy.
- Make sure it has a wide base so that it doesn't tip over.
- Once your baby is old enough to pull up or roll over, it is time to put it away.
