My children love walking. Need an energy boost?

A couple of weeks ago I decided to add to our school schedule some walking.
Believe it or not I am not a fan of exercising even though I am in the health and wellness business.
It takes discipline of course, and with 5 children, I stay busy. My excuse is that I am always on the run..seriously... :) I hardly ever sit down.
In revamping our school schedule(I'm on on my own school schedule) I added walking. We do 15 minutes in the morning or like this morning a one mile walk. My favorite is Leslie Sansone walk away the pounds. I pull it up on YouTube and me and my children walk in our living room.
Its fun and they have been doing better about staying on schedule with school and look forward to it every morning. Even my 4 year old enjoys it!
Walking does many things, but here are a few to get you started:
1. Boosts your energy level
2. Speeds up your metabolism(A fast metabolism means more calories burned. The more you burn, the easier it is to drop pounds)
3. Release endorphins which makes you feel good. If you want to get technical...Endorphins reduce the sensation of pain and affect emotions.
If as a mommy you ever feel depressed( who doesn't) with the load of laundry, fighting or just taking care of the dishes... Get a good walk in!! Walking in place for some people might be boring, but our bodies are not meant to be sedentary. God designed us to be moving people.
Here is the link to the walking video we did this morning.

P.S. If you are needing an energy boost or feeling sluggish?. We've done this one too. It works!!!
